Shower – Get Dressed and Ready
This looks different for each of us but get yourself up and moving. I wake up and grab my pulling oil and have at it. While I do this, I am opening Asana to see my list, checking emails from my clients to put in any new tasks and prioritize them in their needed order. I make my bed, I check last night’s dishes to see if they were run (they usually were not), and I throw in a load of laundry.
Water is Life
The first thing I ingest is at least 24 oz of water. The key thing is that the water is NOT cold. I drink room temperature water. Cold water can shock your system, leaving you with stomach issues for the rest of the day. Some days I will add in a morning tea to throw that warmth in to get me going. No caffeine yet. Studies show that delaying it optimizes your daily energy.
Morning Meditation
Meditate, prayer, silence…whatever you follow and practice, that’s what I do next. I take about 30 minutes or so and focus solely on meditation and spiritual practice. I am Catholic, so that is often a Rosary or novena. Whatever you practice, I implore you to take time and focus on that early.
The Kid Things
This part is followed up by getting my littles up and ready for school – hint, my ADHDer wears her uniform to bed, after showering, so she has more time to get ready to go. Do what you gotta do here – if you have kids, they need to be priority, so don’t leave them out.
Make Coffee & Start Work
After I drop my small people off at school, I come home, start my coffee and snuggle the baby while my mommy’s helper (note: my older daughter gets paid to play with her baby sister) gets herself together and has her coffee, then I start my workday — Morning work routine coming soon…
